Advanced Intensive Training
3 day in-person intensive workshop covering more complex ideas and application of principles. It is highly recommended that the instructor for this course be different from either of the previous 2 courses.
Pre-requisite: completion of Step 2: Basic Practicum
Self-evaluation/application form from Basic Practicum must be submitted to course instructor.
- Concepts as outlined in Basic Intensive but in greater depth
- Sixty percent of time allotted to role-playing and the processing of role-plays
- Increase knowledge of Choice Theory through Role Play: understanding the intent of the questions
- Role-play with a wider variety of client populations as counselor/interviewer, client, and process observer
- Familiarity with the differences with counseling, teaching, and managing within role-play
- Management styles : Boss – Leader – Laissez-faire
- Practice lead management process within role play scenes (school or business setting)
