“We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.”- Maya Angelou
There is strength in understanding and accepting what every person has to offer. It makes sense to extend the circumference of the table so that all who want can partake of what is good and nourishing. Every person has a story to tell and need a place to tell their story and through this meeting, we give all who are willing an opportunity for their story to be told and heard. Hearing the story makes the situation real and the person human. Participants have a chance to tell us what they want for their lives, how they are going about getting what they want, how effective their efforts are and if we can do something to assist them in getting where they want to be.
Join us to hear these stories on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 2 pm eastern time. If you are interested in sharing your story, please contact Gloria Smith Cissé at [email protected].
